Adviser and client

Central and South Sussex Citizens Advice Bureau is a local, independent registered charity that aims to provide the advice people need for the problems they face. We also work to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.

The bureau offers face-to-face and telephone general advice from its centres across Central and South Sussex, with various outreaches across the county . We also offer specialist advice in debt, welfare benefits, housing, employment, and family law, for people who qualify for legal aid.

Get advice

The Citizens Advice service offers practical, up-to-date information and advice on a wide range of topics, including; debt, benefits, housing, legal, discrimination, employment, immigration, consumer and other problems.

Our advice is available to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, nationality, disability or religion.

 

Volunteer

All of our advisers are trained volunteers, helping the Citizens Advice service to resolve nationally over 6 million new problems every year.

We couldn’t survive without our fantastic volunteers, but we need more. We’re looking for all sorts of people with different backgrounds and skills to volunteer with us for a uniquely rewarding experience.

Citizens Advice service

The bureau is a member of the national Citizens Advice service.

There are around 390 bureaux across England and Wales, and together we help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.
